Our Story

Our story began as CircusMASH in 2011 and was founded by Joseph Fearn, a travelling circus performer with a huge passion for education. Over ten years MASH has created a space in Birmingham for circus, individuality, celebration, skill, equality and magic and those spells bound in 2011 have rippled through every year since to create The House of MASH. Inside the House of MASH each room has its own mission and collectively they join together to use visual art as a tool for change. Come on in…

The Dream Den: Where we bring to life the ideas of young people and the CircusMASH community.
The Purpose Portal: Where young, forward thinking, innovative minds work with brands and CEO’s to build culture, create opportunity and re-shape our future. Learn more about the projects here.
The Life Lounge: Where our wellbeing and mental health and put before everything else. Our digital tool Space-Plans was created in 2020 to bring our mind, body and learning together.
The Circus Space: Where young people and community learn skills, develop creatively and achieve their impossible.

Always Remember to:

Dream way too big and forget not your purpose, but live every day like your life is a circus.
